Loss and Grace

People talk about the "new normal" brought on by the pandemic. It seems every day brings a brand new normal and a brand new life lesson. Today we talk about some of the things we miss the most and some of the lessons we’ve learned both in and through the pandemic, and also in the midst of other times of life disruption.

Some of our friends and family have said and done incredibly hurtful things over the past year of unrest. Opinions, fear, anger, and misinformation can cause us to say unhealthy things in the moment. What happens after we say something unkind or hurtful and then somewhere down the road we find ourselves in a different place and a different mindset? Can we or should we apologize to the people we hurt along the way?

Debi and I talk in today’s podcast episode about showing grace to people who’ve broken our hearts or judged us harshly. The two of us are in very different places than we were even just five years ago. Why not assume others may have grown and changed as well?
