Election 2020

We all know how very divisive we Americans can be when it comes to politics or religion. I dream of a country where kids are taught how to respectfully dialogue with those from different walks of life and varying political bents and beliefs. This world could be so much kinder.

In this extra episode, Debi and I share personal stories that have formed or changed the lens through which we view religion, politics, and public policies. We’d like to encourage you all to ask more questions and jump to fewer conclusions about one another. People with whom we disagree don’t want to be demeaned, called names, or bullied in any way. Most of us WANT to engage in meaningful dialogue. Most of us WANT to share our stories and be understood.

Let’s ask more questions, open our heart to the stories of others, and try to view one another through the lens of love and understanding. We believe there’s hope for a kinder world. Really, we do.
